Members of Lower Similkameen Community Services Society LSCSS are people who support the staff and volunteers working to help hundreds of people in our community ever year.
Membership in our organization is open to individuals, community service agencies, and business organizations. By becoming a member, you are entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting and to nominate members of the Board of Directors.
Members are individuals 18+ residing in the Village of Keremeos or RDOS Areas B or G that wish to be informed of, or participate in, the decision making of Lower Similkameen Community Services.
We aim for a membership that reflects the diversity of our community and who supports our mission and vision.
As a member you are entitled and encouraged to a vote at our Annual General Meeting, and to nominate members to serve on the Board of Directors.
To thrive, our nonprofit organization needs public support. While our organization’s board is its governance and head, our organization’s general membership is its heart and soul.
Our members define our organization. With diverse membership our organization represents families, neighbors, teachers, health care workers, business owners, seniors, artists, historians, contractors. Who our members are shapes our public identity. Each member also brings expertise and diversity, expanding the organization’s capacity and knowledge.
When a member is on board with our mission, understands his or her role on the team, and is excited about our organization’s work and plans, that member becomes an ambassador for our organization.
