Children's Programs

Child Mental Health - Princeton

Our counsellor offers a holistic approach to support clients in their healing journey focusing energy and intention on the clients Mental, Emotional, Spiritual and Physical.

Community Action Plan for Children (CAPC)

This program aims to improve healthy child development by improving parenting skills and parent-child relationships and decreasing social isolation.

Canada Prenatal Nutrition (CPNP)

Programming aims to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women and new mothers including promoting healthy birth outcomes, breastfeeding support, and healthy life styles.

Early Years

This program is actually a diverse group of activities and services  with the common purpose of supporting the health, development and socialization of young children.

Infant Development

Providing services to children from birth-6 who are at risk of developmental delays, with emphasis on ages 0-3.

Similkameen Family Literacy

This program styles itself as ‘promoting the enjoyment and good use of language in read, spoken, written and heard communication among all age groups’.

Similkameen Starfish Packs

Run entirely from donations this program prepares healthy backpacks for school age children and youth once per week during the school year.

PEACE

The program seeks to understand the particular needs presented by students so that appropriate material can be shared with students in a way that will engage and empower.

The PEACE counselling program, through conduct of group activities, seeks to engage with youth to see where some care and attention will help.

Family Support

Our goal is to provide support and services to facilitate healthy, strong and connected families, by helping them develop adequate skills and abilities to cope with daily living.

Stopping the Violence
Women's Counselling

Confidential counselling services for women. Individual, client-centered support for education, self-awareness, and empowerment.

Programs for Seniors & People with Disabilities

Better at Home

The program is designed to assist seniors with light housekeeping duties providing them the flexibility to stay in their own home longer.

Fix-It

The Fix-It program is for low income individuals who cannot afford to fix essential things within their homes.

Friendly Visitor

This program connects isolated seniors with friendly volunteers for an in-house visit or chat on the phone. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone to visit and check in on you.

Legal Aid Community Partner

This program helps to connect to people to legal services they might not otherwise be aware of or have challenges accessing.

Meals on Wheels

The program serves the Keremeos, Cawston, and Olalla areas providing a warm and tasty noon hour meal delivered right to your door.

Tech Savvy

We are a volunteer program that helps seniors and people with limited digital literacy.

Volunteer Drivers

Our Volunteer Driver Program provides transportation to residents of Keremeos, Cawston, Olalla and Hedley who are not able to travel independently.

Adult Day Services

Designed to support individuals to remain at home, this twice weekly program provides activities and socialization as well as respite and educational supports to caregivers.

Community Support Programs

Community Outreach (CORP)

The CORP program is a community-based program designed to assist people with navigating the medical system and to ensure everyone has the opportunity to access all appropriate and available resources.

Gustavson House
Adult Mental Health

Gustavson House is a place to meet friends, share experiences, and participate in activities twice per week. Activities are FREE and targeted toward mental health goals, with emphasis on psychosocial rehabilitation and engagement.

Keremeos Victim Services

This program provides emotional support and practical assistance to victims of crime, their family members, witness’s of crime, and those who suffer from other trauma.

Legal Aid Community Partner

The Legal Aid Community Partner program helps to connect to people to legal services they might not otherwise be aware of or have challenges accessing.

Similkameen Seasonal Workers

The Similkameen Seasonal Workers Program aims to enhance the experience of seasonal workers in the Similkameen (Olalla, Hedley, Cawston, Keremeos).

Volunteer Income Tax
Preparation

This program pairs a volunteer with a client for personal income tax return preparation for low income individuals.
