Keremeos Adult Day Services

Adult Day Services (ADS) is designed to support seniors, and their caregivers, who are at risk of losing their independence, so they can remain in their homes and community.

What does it include?

ADS provides a range of health, social and therapeutic recreational activities to help improve and maintain the well-being of older adults in a safe and caring environment.

Services include:

  • A nutritious lunch
  • Physical activity
  • Professional health-care services
  • Recreational activities such as music, games, crafts, outings, and so much more
  • Social opportunities

ADS is also designed with care givers in mind to provide respite and community support.

How can I attend?

A referral is required to attend ADS. Contact your local Home and Community Care office to find out more.

Are there eligibility restrictions?

Yes, ADS is designed for people who may:

  • Have complex medical conditions that require medical monitoring
  • Be frail, related to aging or other medical conditions
  • Be at risk of physical or mental decline due to social isolation
  • Have a caregiver that would benefit from a break in their caregiving role
  • Be at risk of losing their independence and wish to remain living in their home
  • Have had several recent hospitalizations and would benefit from monitoring and support

 

When does the program run?

  • Wednesdays 9:30am – 2:30pm
  • Fridays 9:30am – 2:30pm

 

Where is the program located?

The Ambrosia building, in the Gathering Place. 714 Veterans Ave, Keremeos, BC.
